A biweekly lecture series examining the past (and thus the present) from an Islamic perspective, following the Quranic precedent to obtain “lessons” (ʿibar) from the events of the past. We will gain a deeper appreciation of Islamic history and its modern relevance by understanding how we’ve come to live the way we do today. Dinner will be served.
