Join the Labor Center for another Thursday Theater monthly film screening! This Filipino Heritage Month, we’ll be screening Sister Stella L., a classic of Filipino and labor cinema. The film follows Sister Stella Legaspi, a nun who begins to question her apolitical stance after witnessing a picket line. It is both a political and personal coming-of-age tale, filmed during Ferdinand Marcos’ dictatorial reign.
